We were talking this week about how our pets used to look at us. What was behind that gaze? When did we see it? Moreover, just remembering how we felt when we noticed them looking up at us was a wonderful experience. Would it be possible to look at ourselves with those same eyes, and perhaps give ourselves that same grace, compassion, and love that they gave us?
